“Walk by Faith”

By Dianne Prince

“For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7, KJV).

Every day we face is filled with uncertainty. The only certainty is that change will come. People change. Circumstances change. Our feelings change. Our children, our health, our age, and even our minds are in constant transition.

Paul reminds us not to resist change, nor to base decisions on shifting circumstances or temporary appearances. Instead, we are to ground our decisions in faith —faith in God and in His Word.

How do we walk by faith and not by sight? Faith sees through the lens of Scripture. Faith clings to God’s truth no matter how heavy the burden or how dark the day.

Change is not meant to be feared but embraced as we learn to trust God more deeply. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you do not see the whole staircase.” Today, in the face of doubt, indecision, or fear, take that first step. Press past what your feelings are telling you. Push past what your mind is saying to you. Step out on what God has promised. Obey His Word regardless of the cost.

The beauty of walking by faith is this: when your strength runs out, God will supply exactly what you need to take the next step. And He will give you courage to keep moving forward.

Faith is not about what you see—it is about who you trust.
