“Praise While You Wait”

By Dianne Prince

“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.” — James 5:13 (NKJV)

Prayer is not just a spiritual habit—it is a lifeline. A prayer of faith activates God’s blessing. A prayer of surrender leans into His strength. And a prayer of full dependence stirs heaven itself, setting divine help into motion.

Imagine handing over a tangled mess of Christmas lights to someone who knows exactly how to fix them. When you give your burdens to God through prayer, the weight of waiting becomes lighter. When you praise Him in the middle of chaos, even the darkest days begin to shine with hope. Praise does more than lift your mood—it changes your outlook. What once looked like a wall can become a doorway. What once seemed impossible can become possible.

But consistency is key. Keep bringing your requests to God without wavering. He will always answer—sometimes with a “yes,” sometimes with a “no,” and sometimes with a “not yet.” If the answer is “no,” trust that His plan is far greater than your own. If the answer is “not yet,” know that He is preparing the right people, the right place, and the right time.

Do not quit. Do not give in to impatience. While you wait, praise Him for what He is already working out on your behalf. Praise builds your faith and brings you peace. God’s silence is never His absence—it is often preparation.

So stand firm. Keep praying. Keep praising. Your help is on the way.
