Sister CeCe-She is having cataract surgery this morning. We pray for the surgeon to operate with perfection and for her to have a full and quick recovery. – James 5:15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
The Lady having an MRI this morning-We pray for the results to be favorable and for the treatment plan to yield complete healing. – Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
Dr. Henry and Dr. Shaw-We ask God to endow them with wisdom as they develop individual treatment plans for their patients and grant them success in every case they put their minds and their hands to. – Psalms 138:3 On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.
The U.S. House and Senate-The government shut down at midnight last night. We pray for the Lord’s wisdom and peace to guide our leaders so that unity and provision will prevail during this time. We also pray for an agreement on a funding plan to be reached and for those who are impacted to be provided for by the mighty hand of God. – Psalm 90:17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us – yes, establish the work of our hands.
Those who recently lost a loved one-We pray that God will replace uncertainty with confidence, fear with courage, and sadness with comfort. We ask Him to assure you of His presence and make your path clear as you press your way into the future. – Psalm 68:5 Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.
Victims and families of the recent mass shootings-We pray comfort and peace for the families. We ask God to surround them with his compassion, heal those who are wounded, and motivate lawmakers to address gun control appropriately. – “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)
Everyone actively looking for a job-We ask God to open doors with employers, to orchestrate a path for you to be connected with those who are hiring, and to give you a job with benefits and good pay. – Jeremiah 29:11 – ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’
Everyone on the call this morning-We pray you rely on God’s strength and His wisdom to get through the day. We pray for you to fully trust in God’s power and believe He is able to work in and through you. We ask Him to empower you to do things that are beyond your ability. – “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” Ephesians 3:16-17a
